Traffic Restrictions
Residents and visitors should expect heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the Central Business District, French Quarter, and Marigny throughout the New Year's Eve and Allstate Sugar Bowl events. The New Orleans Police Department will restrict vehicular traffic in and around the French Quarter as follows:

- Elysian Fields Ave. from Decatur St. to N. Peters St.

Additional intermittent street closures, including Canal St. from Claiborne Ave. to Convention Center Blvd., might be required as crowd size warrants. Decatur St. from Dumaine St. to St. Louis St. will also be closed to vehicles ahead of the fireworks display on Monday, Dec. 31 once crowd size warrants.

Additional parking restrictions may be implemented as necessary. Always follow posted signs. Parking enforcement personnel will be monitoring for illegal parking.
- Do not block hydrants, driveways and sidewalks.
- Do not park within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection, or stop sign.
- Park in the direction of travel on one-way streets and with the right wheel to the curb on two-way streets.
Transportation Impacts & Tips for Getting There
Regional Transit Authority (RTA) service impacts

Service will stop at Esplanade Ave. and Decatur St. Passengers will board the #48 Canal Streetcar at the French Market to continue their journey to Canal St.

Streetcar will not run on the riverfront. All streetcars will stop at Harrah's Casino.
