Uptown Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Updates

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), has canceled the precautionary boil water advisory for most residents and businesses in the Uptown area after bacteriological tests confirmed that water in the area was safe to drink and could be used for personal needs. Twenty-four properties will remain under the advisory.

Precautionary boil water advisory canceled for majority of impacted Uptown area

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), has canceled the precautionary boil water advisory for most residents and businesses in the Uptown area after bacteriological tests confirmed that water in the area was safe to drink and could be used for personal needs. Twenty-four properties will remain under the advisory.

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect

The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for a limited area in uptown New Orleans bounded by S. Carrollton Avenue to Napoleon Avenue and from S. Claiborne Avenue to the Mississippi River. Testing procedures are underway. Once the samples are in the lab, testing can take approximately 24 hours to yeld results. See status at swbno.org/News/BoilWater

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Issued for Uptown New Orleans

The Sewerage & Water Board issued a precautionary boil water advisory for the Uptown area of New Orleans from S. Carrollton Ave. to Napoleon Ave. and from S. Claiborne Ave. to the Mississippi River, due to a drop in water pressure. Boil water before consuming.
