Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority - East to Open Several Key Floodgates

Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority - East field crews will begin the process of reopening floodgates in an effort to assist with rail, emergency routes, and river commerce. Beginning at 8:00 p.m. crews will be dispatched to open the following floodgates in these areas:

Orleans Parish

• Highway 90
• Highway 11
• Key river gates along the cruise terminal (Poydras to Felicity)
• Several rail line gates for CSX, Public Belt, Norfolk Southern

• The West End area of Lakeshore Drive is back open (access to the restaurants) and the rest of the road will reopen on Monday

Beginning at Midnight (Orleans)

• Additional key river gates
• Lakefront Airport (Between 11p – 1a)
• Downman Road (Between 11p – 1a)
