NOLA Ready's Commitment to Language Access

NOLA Ready is committed to making sure everyone can access the information they need - especially in emegencies. We provide a variety of resources to ensure that language is never a barrier to safety or preparedness. Our goal is to reach all members of our community, no matter what language they speak, so everyone can stay informed, make safe decisions, and get the support they need during critical situations.

Stay informed with Spanish-language alerts directly from the city about emergencies, severe weather, and other critical updates.

NOLA Ready is committed to ensuring all community members have meaningful access to emergency resources, regardless of the language they speak. This includes interpreters, translated materials, public notices, and vital information before, during, and after disasters.

Language Access Plan

The Language Access Implementation Plan explains how NOLA Ready will provide language access services to people who have limited English proficiency. It outlines our policies, procedures, and resources for ensuring meaningful access to our program and services. The Language Access Plan has been last updated in November 2025.
