Information for Businesses and Employees Impacted by the Hard Rock Collapse

The City of New Orleans is offering information and assistance for individuals directly impacted by the Hard Rock Hotel collapse. The Resource Center will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Main Library, 219 Loyola Ave. Staff from the Office of Economic Development or our economic development partners will be present. A Spanish interpreter will also be present.

City Prepares to Mitigate Impacts Near Collapse Site

In anticipation of any possible further collapse of the cranes and structure on the Hard Rock Hotel site, and out of an abundance of caution, the City of New Orleans and Entergy will be taking action to mitigate hazards in the area. The City will be removing vehicles parked in the immediately adjacent parking garage, the Premium Parking lot, located at 200 N. Rampart St.

City Provides Update on Response to Hotel Construction Collapse

Public safety agencies continued this morning to try to stabilize the Hard Rock Hotel construction site following Saturday’s collapse. The response, called LA Task Force 1 and led by the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD), is conducting search and rescue operations, including rescue dogs, cameras and other technology to attempt to locate the individual who remains unaccounted for.

Resource Center Open Daily for Affected Individuals

The New Orleans Health Department and partner agencies are offering information and assistance for individuals directly impacted by the Hard Rock Hotel collapse. The Resource Center will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Main Library, 219 Loyola Ave. Today's services will include mental health counseling and information for evacuated residents. A spanish interpreter will be present.

Tuesday Morning Update on Hotel Collapse

Public safety agencies continued Tuesday morning in their efforts to stabilize the Hard Rock Hotel construction site following Saturday’s collapse. The response continues in rescue and recovery mode as first responders work to recover one  deceased person and locate a missing person whose status is unknown. The collapse killed two people and injured at least 30 others.
