Today, the City of New Orleans will activate the Citywide Freeze Plan in anticipation of cold weather. The National Weather Service predicts that temperatures, factoring in wind chill, will drop below the threshold of 35 degrees Fahrenheit for more than four hours overnight Monday, Nov. 26, triggering the activation of the freeze plan. The coldest period is forecast to be in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 27, with “feels like” temperatures at 33 degrees.
