Garbage and Recycling Collection, Recycling Drop-Off Day will Proceed Saturday as Scheduled

Curbside garbage and recycling collections by the City of New Orleans from eligible properties will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020. Residents are reminded to place garbage or recycling in City-issued carts with the lids closed. If recycling bins are used, heavier items should be placed on top. Up to six securely tied bags of leaves and small branches and up to six bundles of branches cut in 4-foot lengths can be placed next to carts.

It is important that residents secure items to avoid the risk of windblown debris blocking rights of way or storm drains. Residents are required to remove their carts from the curb as soon as possible after collections and secure the carts on their properties.

The Department of Sanitation’s second Saturday of the month Recycling Drop-Off Center will be held tomorrow as scheduled, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 2829 Elysian Fields Ave.
