High Confidence in Western Track, NOLA Impacts Possible
With the Thursday 10 a.m. advisory, there is a high confidence in the forecast track for Hurricane Delta, which remains to the west of New Orleans. However, the storm is expected to widen, so local impacts are still possible. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect as sustained winds between 39 to 73 miles per hour will be possible Friday and Saturday. A Storm Surge Warning is in effect for areas outside the levee system, where two to four feet of surge is possible.
